Deployment of heat pumps is a key part of the greenhouse gas reduction goals set out in the Inflation Reduction Act. In Accelerating Heat Pump Adoption through the Inflation Reduction Act and Complementary Policies, CLASP and RAP analyzed impacts of the IRA on heat pump uptake in the United States and explored complementary policies that states can use to further increase adoption: workforce training, improved public access and participation and rate design.
Join us for an interactive conversation in which we focus on heat pump adoption in the Northeast. We will look at the region and at a pair of New England states to see how they are using federal dollars and state policies to deliver heating and cooling improvements in homes throughout the Northeast. This webinar is the second in a series that began in October with a discussion of heat pump adoption efforts in the Midwest.
Panelists:
- David Lis, director, technology market transformation, Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP)
- Peter McPhee, senior program director, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center
- Hank Webster, deputy commissioner of energy, Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection
David Farnsworth of RAP will introduce the topic and panel, and Vivian Cox of CLASP and Louisa Eberle of RAP will co-moderate the session. After a roundtable discussion, there will be ample time for audience questions.
