This is a report that outlines the basics of demand response, and includes specific recommendations for states that want to promote price-based demand response, as well as information on the results of different types of dynamic pricing tariffs (in the appendices). To help implement this new policy on demand response, EPACT creates new requirements for electric utilities and states with respect to demand response.
